Scoring

At the top of the first sheet please enter the name and contact details of the person filling out the details.

  • Name - name of runner
  • Race No - Refer to the 'assigned race number' sheet to identify the runner's unique number (eg J8F)
  • Position - At the end of the race each runner is given a numbered disc which designates their finish position, this number should be written in this column against the appropriate runner's name.
  • Sen/vet40/vet50/vet60 - this information is also available on the 'assigned race number' sheets for each runner.

Mens' team score - a men's team consists of 8 finishers and there must be at least 2 vets, else there is no men's team score. In the event that there are more than 8 finishers the remaining results should be entered on the 2nd sheet. However if the first 8 finishers are all seniors, the fastest 2 vets' scores should be entered on the top sheet .
Ladies' team score - as mens' but ladies teams consist of 4 finishers and there must be at least 1 vet.
Total team scores - mens - enter the mens team score in the first column. Take off the last mens scorer ensuring you still have 2 vets remaining. Enter the position number of the last mens scorer in the next column. Subtract the last mens scorer's position value from the mens team score to give the 'total minus highest score' value, enter this in the last column.

                                  - ladies - enter the ladies team score in the first column. Take off the last womens scorer ensuring you still have 1 vet remaining. Enter the position number of the last womens scorer in the next column. Subtract the last womens scorer's position value from the ladies team score to give the 'total minus highest score' value, enter this in the last column.
  - total - add the two last columns together to give the combined team score.

2nd sheet:-
Enter the remaining names, race numbers and scores in order of finish position on this sheet.

Discs - place the discs in numerical order on the pins provided, mens on one pin, ladies on another.

Hand the envelope of sheets, discs and monies to either to Dave Mann or Gill Clingham or leave at the red DRXC league tent.
NOTE:- 2nd claim runners do not score for the team (unless there are not enough runners to make up a team, in which case they can score), however 2nd claimers DO accrue individual points.

'Last place' - each club gets one fictitious "last place" per season in the event that they were one person away from making a team. It is automatically allocated the first time it happens.
